One Mans Bike is another Mans Ferrari (Part 5)

Confidence is practised. It is a characteristic some may be born with, yet most will manifest with time and teaching. The confidence we use publicly, either within work or daily errands is far more natural and easier to learn. However to find the courage to speak freely and openly with someone you care for is a life lesson only one can discover themselves.

Eva was very confident with herself as far as it concerned the way people saw her. She though was mistaken to think her confidence would reflect through a relationship she was trying to form. Had she been brave enough to reveal to Tyrone who she really was, maybe then could they have hatched the nest  and started laying new eggs on top.

Although this wasn’t to say that Tyrone was spraying out oozes of spirit through his conversations. If anything Eva was his Ying to his Yang. She was able to speak for England compared to him. Tyrone however was more professional with his fingers…. when it came to declaring his thoughts on a text. If he had the real balls to speak head strong to Eva about how he felt from the beginning when all was revealed, then the pair would not be facing the dreary phase they have approached now.

All it really took was one person to come first and say the truth. We are all quick to say we want to hear the truth and nothing but. Push come to shove and we are also very quick to hide our words to!

So it took Eva the first three months to hide in the dark, it took one moment for Anthony to seek her and one switch for Tyrone to see the light. It then took the next three months for Eva to finally walk out of the room and dim the lights behind her. She finally came to realise that her own self-confidence must be found. It wasn’t something she wanted to do, but sitting in the corner pretending her and Tyrone still had something to sing about was no longer worth wasting two voices for.

Eva took those big steps with her own two feet, to stand up to Tyrone and end a relationship that never began. She didn’t close the door with bad thoughts or hate for one another. But she closed it leaving two men behind it and not just one. Within that very moment Eva should have deleted all contact with Tyrone and chucked away the key, but she simply couldn’t do it herself, she still hoped that one day soon she may be able to open the door – instead she handed the key to Tyrone and told him to do as he pleased with it.

Handing over that key left Eva a peace of mind and a chance to see if Tyrone would ever want to walk into her room again. Whether she had done the correct move was an issue Eva didn’t care for at that moment in time, at the end of the day she wasn’t playing chess. Maybe dimming the lights to the place she hid and played a child’s game in was not the most wise action to take, had she have fully blacked out the room that Anthony allowed to light up, could she really have moved on from her past.

Most stories have an ending, not always a happily ever after. However Eva can not begin a new book this time. She didn’t expect Tyrone to hold onto that key even if was to just check on her once in while to see if she was running okay. But giving it to him has now left her looking at her new space while still staring out the peephole incase he comes knocking again.

Therefore when we close one door locking it tight and sealing any gaps is important, it allows us to smoothly open another with no passed history to shine through.

As for Tyrone and Eva? Well I guess some old books have new stories, its simply down to the authors.

xoxo
